Israeli police arrested the Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque for paying homage to Ismail Haniyeh

The Israeli police arrested Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, the imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque, for paying tribute to the martyred leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh.
According to Arab media, the Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the head of the Supreme Islamic Council, Sheikh Ikrama Sabri, paid tribute to martyr Ismail Haniyeh in his Friday prayer sermon, after which the Israeli police raided his house.   He was arrested in Jerusalem.

Sheikh Ikrama Sabri was taken to the detention center after being arrested.

Before his arrest, the Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque told Arab media that he was incited by Israeli Interior Minister Itamar Ben Gower and National Security Minister Moshe Arbel. The accusations of incitement are false.

Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque said that I had paid tribute from a religious point of view in the Friday sermon, so how did this provocation happen?   He asked that then freedom of expression? Where are they talking about?

It should be noted that after the praise of Ismail Haniya Shaheed by Sheikh Ikrama Sabri, many Israeli ministers demanded his arrest.
